I loved you,

Wholly and deeply.

I loved you. 

That’s a funny thing,

Isn’t it?

Foolishly loving someone as they slowly carve away your heart.

But I loved you. 

And it was great,

Amazing even!

I thought I had found forever,

My search was finally over,

Because I loved you. 

But you were just another chapter,

Cutting me down with paper blades until I fell apart.

But it never would have worked,

Because you didn’t love me too.
